Sermon Text: Romans 12:9-21
That we will love and welcome all with sincere love
Holy Spirit of God, enable us to practice sincere love in all our relationships. Enable us to love those who persecute us and treat us as enemies as fully as we love those who are part of the community of hope that sustains us in faithfulness. Enable us to practice peace even when peace is difficult and we are tempted to curse or seek revenge for the wrongs that have been done to us.
Fill us with your energy so that we may serve with enthusiasm and joy. Enable us to welcome all whom you send our way and share the resources You have provided us with gladness.
Enable us to enter into the joys and sorrows of our sisters and brothers in faith, and to practice humility in our relationships.
We rejoice that You have called us and transformed us to be like Christ. Enable us to overcome every evil we encounter by following Christ’s example of faith. Amen.
