DAY 29 - MONDAY
God calls us into the Church to eat at Christ’s table.
O Bread of Heaven, our Hope
and Sustenance,
we praise You for your
consistent generosity and care.
You have fed our spirits by
the presence of your own Spirit.
Our lives are fully nourished
by your forgiveness and
inspiring presence.
As we share the bread and cup
that You prepare for us
in the rest between our days of
labor,
we are reminded of your great
sacrifice,
your agony and victory, your
immeasurable glory,
and your loving passion that
precedes any choice
or act of faith on our part.
We have eaten the bread with
great sorrow and deep gratitude.
We have drunk the fruit of
the vine
in painful shame and
indescribable joy.
We rejoice in your
hospitality.
We rejoice in every provision
that You have made
for our salvation and for our
faithful discipleship. Amen.
