About Me

My photo
Dave Antieau
I've been a pastor since 1979, serving Free Methodist congregations in Milan and Deerfield, Michigan, as well as in Chicago, and, since 1999, at St. Nicolai United Church of Christ (3000 N. Kedzie Ave.), in Chicago. Since I have served small congregations, I have typically been bi-vocational, working for many years with organizations that assist homeless persons or people with disabilities. From 1996-2014, I wrote and performed music as part of Last Minute Music. We were a band of mostly middle-aged men who play monthly at Breaking Bread (a ministry of LaSalle Street Church), as well as benefit concerts for organizations like Chicago CROP Walk. I have been married to Lorraine (Gray) since 1976. We enjoy traveling, hiking, reading aloud and watching foreign movies together. We have two sons: Benjamin and Stephen. My most time consuming hobby is birdwatching. I currently have 330 species on my Illinois life list. The latest addition to my Illinois list was Kirtland's Warbler, a rare birded most commonly seen in the northeastern part of Michigan's lower peninsula. Note: The hat in my photo was a gift from a Thai friend, Tony.
