Prayer for May 13-19, 2018
Sermon Text: John 17:6-19
That we may be thorough expressions of living truth
Christ Jesus, we rejoice that you prayed for the protection of your
disciples so that they could be one as You and your Holy Father are one.
Protect
us from the evil one and from every evil influence that diminishes our humanity
and undermines our joy in following You. Fuse our lives so thoroughly that we
are truly of one heart and mind.
Enable others to see the truth about who You are as they observe the
unity and love among us.
Let our lives be thorough expressions of living truth and be fully set
aside for the service of God’s reign in this world that we inhabit. Enable us
to go gladly to witness and serve and give us patience and endurance when we
are subject to the hatred of those who reject You.
We rejoice that You continue to intercede and advocate for your
followers in every age, and that your prayers for our unity, protection and joy
have been fulfilled, in a significant measure, in our lives. Amen.
Hello Pastor Dave Antieau. I am also a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am glad to stop by your profile on the blogger and the blog post. Very encouraging and enriching post on Prayer for May. I am also blessed and feel privileged and honored to get connected with you as well as know you and about you being a Pastor of Free Methodist for last 40 yrs since 1979. I too have been Pastor for last 40 yrs from 1979 with church of the Nazarene and while being Pastor, served the church as a District Superintendent for almost 24 yrs. What a co-incident of serving the church for 40 yrs in a similar doctrinal base denominations. I would love to visit you God willing if I happen to be in the united States in Michigan area. I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry in Mumbai for last 40 yrs a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the brokenhearted. WE also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have young people from your church to come to MUMBAI to work with us during their vacation time. I am sure they will have a life changing experience.
