DAY 20 - THURSDAY
God calls us into the Church.
Living One – You who have
spoken through prophets and seers,
You whose word was fully
alive in Jesus Christ -
we hear your voice calling us
and we respond to your invitation
with deepening delight.
In calling us to the church, Christ’s
body,
You have called us to partake
of reality
that eclipses our individual
concerns.
You have set us in intimate
relation with each other
so that our lives nourish and
are nourished by each one
who is part of this living,
dynamic organism
that seeks to live for your
glory in courageous and consistent ways.
We are not alone in our
efforts to live our faith, for You are with us,
and all whom you have given
us are with us
in this challenging life of
great cost and greater victory. Amen.
