DAY 15 - FRIDAY
In Jesus Christ, God has come to us, reconciling the
whole creation to its Creator.
You, One and Only - who
express perfect unity
in the diversity of your own
being -
though we represent diverse
human groups
and speak in many languages,
we give You glory as one people.
In your great wisdom and in
your abundant mercy,
You have broken down every
barrier between us
and called us together at the
foot of Christ’s cross.
You are one Sovereign, one
Savior and one Spirit.
You have given us one hope, one
faith and one baptism,
while shaping us into one
body that reflects your glory
even as it is being changed
in your image
in order to transmit your
glory more brightly.
We acknowledge that we are
not
the sole recipients of your
merciful action.
Through Christ Jesus, every
aspect of creation
that has been distorted and
damaged by sin and hatred
is offered healing and
wholeness and is restored to harmony
in your generous governance.
Though we do not see this
harmony in fullness
as we observe the world
around us,
we trust in your provision and
in your unwavering desire for unity.
Energize us to practice this
unity more fully as we rejoice in You.
Amen.
