Prayer for March 3-9, 2019
Sermon Text: Luke 9:28-43a

That our lives may make your glory visible in the world

Glory!

We have stood in your luminous presence, Jesus, and witnessed glory that overwhelmed our comprehension. We have stood in your radiant presence and our drowsy hearts were roused to attention.

We have seen visions that pointed to You as the fullness and fulfillment of Israel’s instruction and prophecy. We have heard God’s voice acknowledging You as Chosen and Beloved Son. And we have heard God’s command to listen to You.

We listen with hopeful hearts, though we still find that our faith is inadequate for some of the challenges of ministry that You place before us. But, because You lack nothing, You are able to work around and through our limitations as we trust You.

Keep working within us to enable our lives to make your glory visible in the world around us. We are wholly yours and we follow You with hope and joy. Amen.
