DAY 21 - FRIDAY
God calls us into the Church.
O Divine Love, in your wisdom
You have created us for each other,
You have called us to be a
holy people
and made us into a nation of
priests.
You have shaped us into a
spiritual dwelling for your own presence.
You have birthed us as a
single body with Christ Jesus as its Head.
You have chosen us as the
Bride of Christ
and prepared a wedding feast and
set a date that only You know.
Because You have created and
named us in such significant ways,
and because You have given us
gifts in great variety,
we are able to instruct each
other in your ways,
nurture faith that is robust
and courageous,
bear one another’s burdens,
comfort each other in times
of grief and trial,
restore one another when
faith falters
and counsel one another, in
love,
so that we all grow to
maturity together.
O God of wisdom, we rejoice
that you have given us to each other,
in all our diversity, as
sources of your grace
and reminders of your
glory. Amen.
