PRAYING FOR GOD'S REIGN: LENTEN PRAYERS
DAY 26: THURSDAY
Hallowed be thy name
Desire of our hearts, we revere your name.
We stand in awe of your matchless wonders. We praise You. We glory in You. We
love You with all that we are—all that You have created and redeemed us to be.
We know that there is none like You.
Though You are set apart from all that You
have made, You have drawn near. You have entered our lives. You have shared our
breath. You have endured our suffering. You have defeated the power of sin and
death that so often toy with us.
So, we call You by many names—Father,
Mother, Shepherd, Lord, Savior, Rock, Fortress, Shield, Strength, Christ,
Counselor, Teacher and Friend—for You have been all of this and more to us. You
deserve all praise, devotion and obedience, and we give them gladly. Amen.
