WALKING WITH JESUS
Day 26: Thursday
Mark 6:6b-13
Jesus, our journey with You
often requires that we go places that we had not thought to go, and do things
that we had not thought to do, in order to carry out your mission and share
your good news on a broad scale.
We rejoice that we do not go
on our own initiative in order to display our abilities (however much we may be
impressed with ourselves), but that we go with your authority, energized by
your command and your Spirit, to show God’s nearness and God’s sovereignty to those who long for
healing, forgiveness, and freedom from spiritual oppression.
May we be agents of your
healing, forgiveness and liberation. May
we bear your peace to many people in many places. May we go without anxiety, trusting in your
provision, and alert for every opportunity to serve God’s reign of justice and
peace. Amen.
