LENTEN PRAYERS
WALKING WITH JESUS
Day 15: Friday
Jesus, as we walk with You,
soften our hearts that are so often hardened against the healing of our
neighbors and the healing of your creation.
Open our eyes to your life-giving ability. Open our thoughts to the great healing work
that You have done, but also to the great work of healing that remains. Overcome our skepticism. Banish our cynicism. Free us from the need to control the ways in
which You act among us.
Energize us to be agents of
change and enable us to welcome the change that You are bringing among us. Energize us as servants who extend the impact
of your reign into places and in lives that seem bereft of hope, paralyzed,
calcified, and deeply resistant to the vibrant, fruitful life that You generate
in your power and authority.
We walk in hope because we
walk with You. Unleash your healing
power in and through us. Amen.
