LENTEN PRAYERS
WALKING WITH JESUS
Day 28: Saturday
Mark 6:30-44
Christ Jesus, as we walk
with You, we discover that You are resourceful and that what we perceive as
scarcity is turned to abundance by your compassionate care for those in
need. What we perceive as impossible, or
at least impractical, You are able to accomplish.
You act beyond our small
thoughts. You act beyond our perceived
lack. You act with compassion,
creativity and power. You take, bless,
break and distribute an abundance that leaves us puzzled, but adequately
provided for in the midst of many others.
Christ Jesus, give us a
clearer vision for what You can do when all of our resources are given to You
for your use. Give us compassion for
those in need so that we are not afraid to share, but generous and willing even
when it seems we have little to share.
Give us faith that no situation is out of your control, but that You are
able to enact your good will for all who will receive it from You.
We walk with You in joyful
anticipation. Amen.
