Prayer for March 15-21, 2015
Ephesians 2:1-10
God of resurrection, we rejoice that You
have raised us from death to new life in Christ Jesus. We rejoice that You have freed us from the
control of sin and from constant cravings that made us anxiously desire more.
We rejoice that though we deserved your judgment, You have acted graciously
toward us and renovated our lives so thoroughly that in Christ Jesus we have
received a taste of heaven and of all the riches of grace that You have
prepared for us in your renewed creation.
Thank
You for saving us from demonic power, from sin, and from our own diminishing
and destructive choices. Thank You for
acting for us when we were completely unable to act for our own good. Thank You for shaping us so that our lives
could be an expression of your goodness.
We are your handiwork, your poetry. As we live our faith each day, may the beauty
that You have restored to our lives testify to the world about your generosity
and love. Amen.
